The VS Audio Alchemy MkII is a gorgeous-looking, mono in/stereo out BBD analog chorus based on the re-issued version of the MN3207 delay chip. It offers six different presets and a delay control that sets the center delay time for the modulation.

Each knob is controlled by a small microprocessor while the signal stays 100% analog. This allows to save and recall multiple modulated tones instantly.

MkII comes with minor but important changes, including a Tap Tempo feature, a new, smoother LFO shape, a slightly longer delay, and, evidently, a red version of the blue illustration gracing MkI.

There are two modes of operation:

Live Mode: in this mode, the pedal behaves like any analog pedal, with the knobs responding to any position you want them in, plus the added Tap Tempo function triggered by stomping repeatedly on the right footswitch.

Preset Mode: you can turn this mode on by holding down the Preset footswitch for a few seconds. This will allow you to store and recall 6 different presets, each one associated with a different LED color. The knobs in this mode are bypassed so nothing will change when you turn them.

VS Audio Alchemy MkII, Builder’s Notes

Alchemy MKII is a stereo BBD (Bucket-brigade device) full analog audio path chorus, featuring tap tempo control, six editable presets and a delay control that sets the center delay time that the LFO modulates around. Behind this gem is the re-issued version of the legendary 3207 delay chip that produce smooth warm modulation to nauseating detune sounds . Each knob is controlled by a small microprocessor while your guitar signal stays 100% analog and never gets digitally processed. This unique concept allows you to control, save and recall multiple modulated tones instantly.
