Jeorge Tripps dug deep into the vault for this one: Based on the original Supa-Lead which was manufactured exclusively for a Japanese music store and limited to 40 pieces, the Supa-Lead is a highly-modified take on one of Tripps’s most unsung units; the Pork Loin.
The Supa-Lead MKIII is extremely amp-like, with a little bit of gain on tap until you really dig in, which unlocks the drive’s full potential. And in true Tripps fashion, the Supa-Lead MKIII is expertly voiced for maximum playability.
Tripps and Way Huge’s parent company Dunlop, will be at this year’s NAMM show, demonstrating this and a handful of others, so make sure not to miss it. – Nicholas Kula
