The Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay is a reboot of one of their most beloved pedals from the 80s. The pedal itself is smaller than its rare predecessor, but the circuit is expanded for additional options. It is known as a tape reverse simulator, and the newest version can do some seriously cool things with the envelope of your signal – like volume swells, reverse playback, and bowed instrument effects.
It has mono and polyphonic functions, as well as an on-board fuzz with 3 controls over Volume, Gain, and Tone. It also has some interesting routing options with a built-in effects loop and expression pedal input, and 3 presets.
