Dropping Acid Pedal Etching - #RIP

Dropping Acid Pedal Etching is a small builder that, up until now, was mostly busy modding and recreating effect circuits made popular by other manufacturers. The #rip, an LM386 based Op-Amp distortion, is their first foray into creating a fully original circuit.

This device can do different things but all within the realm of filth: it can act as anything between the range of a dirty boost and noise apocalypse. It can do that with a rather original knob configuration, let’s start with the Four Modes:

  1. Dirty Boost
  2. Distortion #1 (Tight)
  3. Distortion #2 (Dirtier and Bassier)
  4. Distortion #3 (Full-on Gain And Low End)

A Starving knob adds extra breakup, while the momentary footswitch on the left feeds the signal back into itself in amounts controlled by the Feedback knob, which at high level transforms your tone into a fuzzy square wave.

This is the first pedal released by Dropping Acid Pedal Etching.  The #rip. is an LM386 op amp distortion that goes from mild to wild.  With four modes at your disposal, you can achieve sweet distorted tones for your post rock band or rip your self into oblivion with the momentary feedback switch.
Mode 1: Clean, always on preamp, boost
Mode 2: “Normal” guitar or bass distortion
Mode 3: Gain and Bass Boost
Mode 4: All the GAIN and all the BASS.
The voltage knob interacts with the distorted signal and will yield gated/ sputtery or broken amp sounds.
The momentary feedback button will give you robot farts to high pitch squealies depending on the other settings on the pedal.
