The Whammy Ricochet wasn’t met with lots of excitement when it came out earlier this year, but it has slowly found its share of fans, also making the list of Tone Report’s the Best Pedals of 2016.

Considering that it’s about half the price of a regular Whammy, and for some popular applications works actually even better than the original, there are definitely reasons to be excited about it!

The pedal lets you transpose your pitch up or down with a “glissando” in controlled or crazy shifts, simulating a Whammy action without the imperfections of the human foot movement, thanks to a momentary switch and customizable independent rise and fall time selection.

It has seven pitch selections: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, Octave, Double Octave, and Octave+Dry, as well as a toggle to select up or down for the selected pitch.

The Whammy Ricochet also has latching footswitch mode so you can rise or fall to pitch and stay there, and an LED ladder that shows your shift trajectory at all times.
